November is around the corner: layered sweater weather, scarves and thermals, dirty jeans and dirty under-the-fingernails, ruddy cheeks. I want to dig up root vegetables with my hands and bite the earth, rapacious, like Scarlett never going hungry again. Before the holly and mistletoe: November.

On the ethical harvest celebrations’ tip, is ThanksLiving at the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. Food-fantasizing about what’s destined to be a delicious vegan spread for a great cause, some friends and I booked ourselves a V.I.P. table for the event. We’ve got room for one more at the table of 8 and I want to put the word out in blogland… in the case some fellow food fanatic hoped to attend this sold-out event but missed the boat. Shoot me a comment if you’d like to buy into this wonderful day in upstate New York!

Although I didn’t snap any picture of the food at 2006′s ThanksLiving event, here are some shots of the farm animals… to make you feel all warm in gushy amid the new breeziness outside.
