Brooklyn Dearth

When I make dinner plans with friends, it’s very hard to decide where to eat. Especially in Brooklyn. When it comes to vegan-friendliness, Brooklyn throws just a handful of good options, barely. Take away those options that are packaged, processed foods cooked to order, and you’re left with even less. Thankfully, M.O.B. is around, an option I discovered “late,” assuming it was just another vegan disappointment.

I’m happy to have spread its goodness to friends who understand there is something very important about a eatery that makes things from scratch and has consistent friendly servers. (Service is pretty darn important in Brooklyn, especially since many eateries are manned by disgruntled perpetual adolescents who still think being obnoxious equates to being “cool,” a priority they should have long outgrown anyway.) The servers are way sweet at M.O.B., something you don’t realize is pretty important until you experience it.Β IMG_5407At this stop, I had the Baked Artichoke Macaroni–creamy cashew cream, artichoke and noodles that are divine, topped with smoked pecans and grilled broccoli rabe. Yay! No Daiya! This dish is so darn good.
