St. Paddy’s πŸ’š

Usually I wear my “Italians Do It Better” shirt on March 17. But I am Irish, too, so it’s a joke. Actually, my Irish blood is far more festive than my other components. My great grandfather (or possibly great-great? I’ll have to ask my cousin who dug deep on our ancestors.) was Grand Marshall of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade along time ago.

Besides being 25% Irish, I just love to bake on a theme. And with a festive get-together across the Narrows, it was green buttercream topped chocolate cupcakes.

I cut the sugar so they wouldn’t be too sweet, but that left the frosting a bit loose.

I made my usual. 12 – 1 taste-tested.

The host and hostess made sure I had something to eat. Delicious BBQ jackfruit sandwiches with a yummy slaw on top on a toasted bun. These were so damn good.

And here’s the real shelfie pre-party… before the color pop filter.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘
