Bookmarks in Time

One of the best discoveries in a used book is a bookmark–pressed with time, pressed intention. Back when people printed their pictures, you’d more readily find photographs as bookmarks in thrift stores. Inspired by their candidness, silliness, their careless composition, a series of pictures my friend’s 5 year old daughter took after I showed her how to work the remote shutter release on my camera. I imagined plenty of backstories on these characters. But I’ll let you make your own.
