Now That’s What I Call a Veggie Burger
Lubbock, Texas

It’s official… Beyond or Impossible products are as disgusting as dead flesh to me and I won’t eat them again. Why? Because they are food product, not food. They are created in a laboratory and not in the Earth. And they’re made with garbage, some of which has not been tested for human consumption in any long term study. Ok, I’m mostly talking about Impossible burgers… and their engineered Soy Leghemoglobin which has been tested on animals and linked to potentialย health risks including blood clot issues, anemia, and kidney damage (Source). They also contain the food additive MSG (in yeast extract) and GMO soy sprayed with maybe carcinogens. I hope that doesn’t sound delicious to you!

Then there are veggie burgers like this one from Twisted Root Burger in Lubbock, Texas. It’s made with… real plant based whole foods! House made from chickpea, black bean, brown rice and quinoa burger. Sure, it falls apart–giving you a little pile of yummy to eat after you’re “finished.”

This veggie burger made my week! Let’s look.

Thank you so much, Twisted Root Burger, for making an amazing vegan burger.
